INDIA'S FIRST VICTORY

India and South Africa, the two teams in today's first match, started equally in their last game of the tournament, but no team was able to penetrate its opponent D. There were a lot of technical errors on both sides.

In the mid of the first half India took control of the match, nevertheless they could not score the first goal. South Africa was able to minimize their amount of errors so the game went on break at the score of 0:0.

The second half was not much better than the first one. There were short corners and chances on both sides of the pitch but the keepers made a good job. Finally, in the 55. minute R. Singh scored after a penalty corner for India. This was the first and also the last goal of the match. India defended this lead until the umpire blew his whistle to end the match.

All together, the match was not very exciting, but who would have expected that at 8 o´clock in the morning and for the 11th place in the tourney.
