Record Champion Den Bosch starts with impressing win
March, 29th, EHCCC in Hamburg: HC Den Bosch – Club de Campo Madrid 7:1 (3:1)
29.03.2013 - Record European Club Championship winner HC Den Bosch showed their domination in the third match of the EHCCC in Hamburg. Against the reigning Spanish Champion Club de Campo Madrid the Dutch team from s'Hertogenbosch won by 7:1. Surprisingly Madrid was 1:0 in front, when Beatriz Perez converted a good pass from Barbara Malda. But Den Bosch immediately stroke back. Lieke Hulsen equalized the score. And at the end of the first quarter Maartje Paumen showed her corner strengh, when she smashed an dragflick in the net for the 2-1 lead.
In the second and third quarter Den Bosch dominated the match impressively. Paumen scored with a second corner flick directly before halftime break. The Dutch girls tried to get more goals on the score board to gaurantee the outcome. Sabine Mol and Lidewij Welten added two more goals in the third quarter. Madrid struggled to come back, but there was only one good chance with a penalty corner. On the other side Lieke Hulsen and Vera Vorstenbosch made it 7:1 for the favourites.
